HALIFAX, N.S. — The Halifax Hurricanes bounced back from the previous weekend's losses to blow out the visiting Sudbury Five 122-93 on Sunday at Scotiabank Centre.
The Hurricanes exploded out of the gate with a 29 point first quarter and never looked back. Leading by as much as 32 points, the Hurricanes dominated both ends of the floor.
Mike Poole led the Hurricanes with a team-high 25 points to go with six boards.
Joel Kindred provided the offence with a major spark off the bench with 21 points, while grabbing seven rebounds and picking up four steals.
Chadrack Lufile scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in his first start for the Hurricanes.
In total, six Hurricanes scored in double-figures on Sunday. Terry Thomas scored 18 points, Jordan Washington and Malcolm Duvivier put up 10 and newly signed Hurricane Tyler Thornton scored 11 points in his debut.
For the Sudbury Five, Jaylen Bland poured in a game-high 28 points to try and keep his team afloat.
The Hurricanes improve to 9-10 with the win.
