#IWD2020 Hurricanes Owner Amy Bragg
Amy Bragg does not view herself as a role model. She views herself as a person that, when she wants to achieve something, she works hard to do so.
Amy is a part of the ownership team that has owned, and operated, the Halifax Hurricanes since 2015, and is one of a few female owners in the entire National Basketball League of Canada. But when asked if she takes pride in being a role model to young women in Halifax due to the position she is in, she said it’s something she’s never thought about.
Hurricanes Keep Rolling Against the Five
Halifax, (NS) – The Halifax Hurricanes, presented by Eastlink, faced off against the Sudbury Five Thursday night at the Scotiabank Centre in Downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Hurricanes used a combination of efficient shooting and fast tempo play to come away with their third straight win.
Hurricanes win back-to-back home games versus the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans
Halifax, (NS) – Antoine Mason once again led the Halifax Hurricanes presented by Eastlink to a 114-107 victory over the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans. Mason finished with 33 points on 12 for 19 shooting from the field, however it was the C.J. Washington, Jordan Washington and Joel Kindred all finishing with double digit points and rebounds for the Hurricanes.

How Antoine Mason Developed his Killer-Mindset and Became Mr. Hurricane

Antoine Mason has always had a killer-mindset. It’s the way he was raised, and the way he was trained to play every single basketball game.
“My dad wouldn’t let me be any other way. He was constantly pushing me, wanting me to be the best I could be, because he knew I could be great.”
Mason’s father is of course, New York Knicks icon and NBA legend, Anthony Mason – who played for the Knicks during the Pat Riley coached “bad boys” era in the mid-90’s, and played with NBA star Patrick Ewing, and known-NBA tough guy, Charles Oakley.
Antoine Mason Explodes for 30 Points in Victory Over the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans
HALIFAX, NS. - The Halifax Hurricanes presented by Eastlink got a gutsy 30 point performance from their all time leader scorer Antoine Mason on First Responders Night in a 120-115 win over the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans at the Scotiabank Centre.
